State Route 371 begins at its intersection with State Route 9 southwest of Cumming, Georgia and travels to the north, through unincorporated, but rapidly growing, areas of Forsyth County, before reaching its northern terminus at State Route 20 near the community of Ducktown. While the short route has little statewide significance, it does serve as an important connector for local traffic in the area, as well as serving as a part of the commuter feeder route to State Route 400. It is also known as Post Road.
